This beautiful vintage collection came to us from a woman who, casually, bought and sold jewelry in the 1960’s and 1970’s. She lived in the Montrose, Colorado area and did most of her buying in Cortez, Colorado and Farmington and Shiprock, New Mexico.
After passing, her collection was handed down to her son. The family kept a few pieces but decided they would rather share the rest with the world than keep it in a box.
We have inspected the jewelry and are comfortable with the silver content, and stone quality. However, we do not know the artisans and therefore cannot guarantee authenticity. Several factors lead us to believe the dating of 60’s and 70’s are correct. There is no hallmark on the squash blossoms. Before the mid-1960’s this was common practice.
